Thirteen years ago Danilo studied art at the University of Nariño. After graduation he tried to survive as an artist in Pasto but it was very hard to get noticed. So he went to Buenos Aires with the intention of doing a postgraduate degree.

When presented to the university and one of the teachers looked at his work, asked him if he wanted to be a teacher or artist. Danilo chose the latter and the teacher told you to go about their work, get a teacher and learn in a workshop alone, without so much academia. The young Colombian artist ignored him, got a studio and worked on the master's hand Jorge Burgos, with whom he says he learned more than during the five years the city Universidad.es Buenos Aires lasted a year and worked as a curator of a museum. He returned to Colombia to take the documents that required her to work in Argentina and abroad.
